One of Scotland's finest inland parkland courses, designed by the legendary James Braid
Renfrew Golf Club is recognised as one of the finest inland golf courses in Scotland and has the enviable honour of hosting several SGU and R&A events.
The course is a very flat, scenic, tree-lined parkland course affording views of the River Clyde with the Erskine Bridge in the background.
The club is a member of the James Braid Association, a collection of courses in Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England and New York that were designed, re-designed or re-bunkered by James Braid.
One of the major benefits of the design is that the 9th green and 10th tee are located at the Clubhouse, with the 12th green close by. This layout provides members the option of playing the front nine, back nine, or the first 12 holes.
This is ideal if you are new to the sport, don't always have time to play a full round, or have physical limitations. The shortened course appeals to all our membership because it reduces the demands on their time and abilities.
There is a putting and chipping practice area in front of the clubhouse, along with two practice nets and a practice area adjacent to the 1st tee. The golf shop hires out two electric golf buggies (discounted for members) and pull trolleys.
